Neighbourhood Action Committee

We are a volunteer organization working to make our neighbourhood a better place to live, work and operate a business.  We work on getting and providing neighbourhood input on local traffic safety and calming, land use planning and development, City initiatives, and public art and celebrations.  You are welcome to come and listen, or join in the fun!

We meet on the first non-holiday Monday each month except July and August.   Our next meeting is:

Monday, October 7th  7:00 PM -  901 Kings Rd in the Youth Centre - enter by the double glass doors on the east end (left side) of the Community Centre

10. Budget Priorities: Traffic calming – bring you ideas and tell us your priorities as we plan to send a letter to the city to be included in their budgeting process. The NAC               Executive have identified:

 Safe travel for students to Quadra School (Fifth Street?)
 Traffic Calming for Quadra-Hillside bike route
 Traffic calming for cut-through traffic in residential neighbourhoods
 Slow down/enforce speed on Hillside – note promise of a speed reader has not been honoured
 Safe crossing of Blanshard at Kings
11. Community Check-In - an opportunity for community members to share idea and  concerns (All)
